'MONO'

Thomas Hauert is one of the Motion Bank Guest Artists involved in the TWO project alongside the choreographer Bebe Miller (see OnLine Scores and Blog). For this new creation, Hauert invited composer Fredy Vallejos "to write a spatialized auditory journey akin to an abstracted 'radio play'. Addressing the way our consciousness emerges from the flood of sensory experiences we are constantly exposed to, the piece weaves individualized choreographic material, collective structures and supra-collective movement forces. A kaleidoscope of apparently independent events that still make sense as an integrated organism."

The German Premiere of MONO was presented as a co-production of The Forsythe Company for Motion Bank 29 November through 1 December 2013 inside the frame of Live & OnLine 2013 at The Frankfurt Lab.
