For archival reasons, we have left the text here along with the video tutorials. PM2GO

IS A NEW VERSION OF PIECEMAKER

Piecemaker is a multi-user application (app) initiated as a research project by David Kern to support the organisation and recall of materials created in The Forsythe Company rehearsal studio. PM2GO is an easy-to-install and intuitive-to-use adaption of this app for use in dance creation and education. It is available for free as one of the research results of the first phase of Motion Bank.

PM2GO

has the following functions

• Video annotation with text • Live annotation • Text editing • Cue editing • Colour categorisation • Export and import projects • Asynchronous annotations of collaborating authors.

PM2GO supports annotation of video recordings of any live event, not only dance. In our test-phase we discovered people would use it for lectures, interviews or usability test-videos.

To run PM2GO on your computer you first need to install Adobe AIR (free). Then download PM2GO and follow the installation instructions (see System Requirements below).

There are 5 video tutorials below to help you install, set up and work with PM2GO. These tutorials are best viewed at full-screen.

Some new features are missing from the tutorials which were produced for an earlier version of PM2GO. However, the basic instructions remain the same.

It is recommended to combine viewing the videos with reading the PM2GO HANDBOOK.

Caution: PM2GO works only with the correct video formats which you can read about in the Handbook.
